Vision and Goals

Students & Youth (Ages 6-18)

Help children in elementary, middle, and high schools - especially in underserved communities, that may have limited access to:

  • Physical activity during or after school

  • Nutritious food choices

  • Health education beyond the classroom

    Needs:

  • More opportunities to move and play safely

  • Positive role models promoting active living

  • Fun, engaging health messages

  • Access to equipment and healthy meals/snacks.

Parents & Caregivers

Provide support for:

  • Adults responsible for students' daily routines, meals, and behaviors

  • May work multiple jobs or lack time/resources to focus on health habits

  • Often rely on school systems to provide structure and wellness opportunities

Needs:

  • Simple, affordable tips for creating healthy routines at home

  • Resources and encouragement (not judgment)

  • Awareness of the long-term impacts of childhood obesity

Educators, Schools and Youth Programs

Provide support for:

  • Teachers (especially PE, health, and science)

  • School administrators and principals

  • Community centers, youth clubs, after-school programs

Needs:

  • Help addressing growing concerns about inactivity and poor nutrition

  • Affordable or free equipment

  • Resources to supplement health curricula

  • Ideas to keep kids engaged

Short Term Goals

  • Launch a strong awareness campaign about youth health.

  • Host school- or community-based events to engage students in movement and healthy habits.

  • Deliver sports equipment and resources to at least 3-5 schools.

Long Term Goals

  • Build a sustained community-driven effort that helps reduce childhood obesity risk factors.

  • Create replicable frameworks for youth-led health advocacy projects across the region.
